Sports
Montessori Community School offers several opportunities to participate in sports on campus. Our Upper Elementary soccer team, the Mustangs, practices on Mondays and plays games on Fridays in both the fall and spring semesters. The Mustangs travel to area schools to compete. Participation is open to all Upper Elementary students, ages fourth through sixth grades. 2013 Spring Soccer Schedule
Our campus includes a field, track, volleyball court, and outdoor basketball courts. All students are welcome to enjoy these facilities after school. Elementary and Middle school students use them during P.E. twice a week. Elementary students are encouraged to walk or run the track and to keep a total of miles walked (in and out of school). Students receive foot tokens for every 5 miles achieved. The students’ total miles walked are posted in the gym.
Our Upper Elementary students enjoy performing each spring in a Mini-Olympics which includes a variety of fun sporting events and team competitions. An Elementary Field Day occurs in late May and consists of several fun stations on the field. All students from first through sixth grade participate in this fun event. The students really enjoy this annual tradition.
