Empower Our Educators, Enrich Our Community: Support the 2024-25 MCS Fund

Dear MCS families and friends,

Our Montessori community is built on a legacy of discovery, joy, and growth, sustained by the dedication of our exceptional educators. Our faculty and staff are the heart of our school, guiding each child to explore their passions and develop the confidence, curiosity, and compassion needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world. One of the core values of our newly launched strategic plan is supporting our communities of people.

In alignment with that goal, we are dedicating this year’s MCS Fund campaign to support our teachers and staff.  Two teachers standing side-by-side with their arms around each other and looking at each other

The MCS Fund campaign is an annual giving drive that enhances our operating budget, allowing us to better fulfill our mission. This year, your contribution will be designated to support professional and personal development opportunities for our teachers and staff, making a lasting impact for those who inspire young minds, foster a love of learning, and enrich our entire community.

Our teachers and staff are lifelong learners, and your support will enhance funds available for them to attend workshops, conferences, and training that bring fresh insights into our classrooms. These experiences enrich our community, strengthen our school, and foster connections with Montessori educators worldwide.

Past professional development funds have supported all-staff training from Peaceful Schools North Carolina, as well as sending individuals to the American Montessori Society international conference, and the National Association of Independent Schools People of Color Conference.

Our teachers have sparked exciting innovations in our programs, and we’re dedicated to helping these ideas grow with the right resources and support. One of our Adolescent Community Guides is holding a baby chick in front of a toddler student. The toddler student is petting the chicken.

This year, your MCS Fund gift will support professional and personal development initiatives, including:
  • Supporting staff-initiated, school-wide professional learning communities centered around restorative practices, Collaborative and Proactive Solutions, Teaching for Black Lives, and more.
  • Developing a robust faculty and staff support program with self-care initiatives, wellness support, and opportunities that promote well-being and balance.
As you consider your gift to this year’s MCS Fund campaign, please know that every gift—no matter the size—makes a meaningful impact by demonstrating our collective commitment to supporting the educators who help our students flourish. Donations can be made on our website or using the enclosed response card.

Thank you for thoughtfully considering your contribution to the MCS Fund and for honoring the work of our dedicated educators.

With deep gratitude,

Angie Wenger
