Upper elementary classes serve students between 9 – 12 years of age, traditionally fourth through sixth grades. These rooms have two certified Montessori teachers. Upper elementary classrooms are equipped with a full kitchen and extensive outdoor areas for curriculum extensions.

Students begin their day with a morning circle, set goals, and then begin the work cycle. Specials classes take place in the afternoons. They have daily recess following their lunch. Popular recess activities include basketball, soccer, four square, and volleyball.

Upper elementary students participate in art, Spanish, physical education, and music classes with specialists. They enjoy many enrichment opportunities including field trips, community service projects, and overnight trips. Elementary students have a designated playground, basketball courts, volleyball court, sports field, and track area,

Students have the opportunity to pursue personal interests in weekly studios with the art and music specialists. There are many opportunities to participate in after-school activities as well.
