Community Service

Community service is an important part of our MCS community. All students participate in community service activities and events throughout the year. Students learn to be a part of the global community and share their time and abilities to help others.

Garden Day is a community-wide tradition here at MCS to beautify the campus. Parents, grandparents, students, faculty, and staff work together on various gardening projects around campus. In the past, the community has built raised beds, planted flowers, made birdhouses, spread mulch, weeded flower beds and the herb and vegetable gardens. It is always a fun and much anticipated day on campus.

Many of our community service projects are initiated by the students who have carefully chosen organizations that they feel very passionate about supporting. Upper elementary students have solicited donations of food and supplies for a local animal shelter. Student-led fundraising efforts are encouraged and widely supported by families in our community.
